ElseWise

ElseWise is a text-based terminal adventure rendered in retro CRT phosphor.

There is no fixed plot, dialogue trees, or parser restrictions. Enter any curated or custom location, and the world will generate around you.

Core Mechanics

• Natural Language Agency: Type plain sentences. You control your character’s direct physical actions, and the world determines the outcome.
• Cold Logic: The terminal provides no hints, reminders, or unsolicited directions. Exits and objects appear only when you inspect the environment.
• Permanent Consequences: Each expedition consists of 15 to 25 turns, governed by hidden environmental rules and fatal hazards. Mistakes cannot be undone.
• Atmospheric CRT Display: Features include scanlines, screen curvature, audio feedback, and multiple phosphor themes.
